Snack Family - BUNNY Album Launch

SNACK FAMILY (album launch)

"Snack Family's music oozes, with bleeting baritone sax accompanying rhythms that couldn't pass a breathalyser test, combined with gruff vocals... An unlikely middle ground between Battles and The Birthday Party" - The Quietus

Come and celebrate the launch of BUNNY, the first full length album from Snack Family, the London based avant rock trio. Following up from their excellent EPs "Belly" and "Pokie Eye", "Bunny" marks their best, most magnificently degenerate work to date. Think Blurt and Nick Cave, Albert Ayler, Captain Beefheart and The Cramps and you've got some idea of the dirty power this trio kick up. If Rock was dead, then this is the reanimated monster, breaking its restrains and tearing through the village, crying out to the skies, looking for love.

Snack Family will feature award winning saxophonist James Allsopp, baritone guitarist and vocalist Andrew Plummer and Will Glaser on drums, standing in for Tom Greenhalgh for the Bunny tour.

Bunny will be released on Slowfoot Records on October 5th, on 12 inch vinyl and on all digital and streaming platforms.

Support comes from Slowfoot Records label mates Crackle, a project which started off as an off-kilter collaboration between bassist Nick Doyne-Ditmas [Pinski Zoo, Monkey Puzzle Trio] and drummer Frank Byng [This Is Not This Heat, Snorkel], that draws on their extensive experience as musicians and producers working across a wide range of traditions and practices, old and new. Bolstered by the addition of synth and electronics maestro Ben Cowen [7 Hurtz], Crackle have toured the UK extensively to rave reviews, and are currently working on their second album.
