Sound Champion will be playing at The Macbeth in Shoreditch on 31st March. We will be showcasing all new material which we have been working hard on for the past 18 months and we hope you can join us for a great night of new music.
With Support from Devil Say Dance and The 87
Emerging from the silence of a suburban summer, Sound Champion formed officially in 2014 after a number of alternative projects led to the rise of an ambition to produce riff laden, powerful rock music with a dark yet melodic undercurrent suitable for the dirty dance floors of London’s live music scene and muddy fields of the English countryside alike.
With a collective passion for classic rock n roll fused with a modern electronic style enthused with a love of rave culture, Sound Champion are intent on creating tunes designed to make you dance and sweat into the early hours.
Driven by powerful beats and sleazy bass lines coupled with poetic lyrics Sound Champion are producing future anthems supported by energetic and passionate performance
Devil Say Dance:
Devil Say Dance are a 6-piece alternative rock band from London, England. The band first burst into existence in January 2013 when Matt Williams (vocalist/guitarist) and Ally Elizabeth Taylor (vocalist/ percussionist) joined forces and began to ignite sparks around the capital, and this year has seen the original duo triple in size with the arrival of Matt's siblings Nick Williams (vocalist/guitarist) and Louise Corner/Williams (vocalist/keyboardist) with friend Steve Harvey-Cook (bassist), and finally, with the most recent and overdue addition - the fantastic Jack Painting (drummer), these guys are ready to take on the world, bringing a selection of the groups past and present rock music to life in a live situation including songs from their debut album Embers in January 2015 released on London based independend label, Foof Records,
Their debut album has triggered an extremely positive reaction from people both in the UK and abroad, receiving glowing reviews from American music reviewers Cerebral Rift and The Daily Vault with track Icarus Fly featuring on The Lauren Laverne Show - BBC 6 Music.
Though Devil Say Dance remain unsigned, they owe a lot to their friends at Foof Records, the London based independent label which they distribute their home-recorded releases on and which allows them total artistic control over their style and music, and provides a platform for many other artists to reach a global audience. Everything released on the Foof Records website can be downloaded completely for free, and as DSD have been affiliated with Foof since their infancy, also releasing a 6-track mini-album (2013's Madmen) and 4 track E.P. (2013's Underwater Breathing), there is plenty Devil Say Dance available to devour.
This band produce everything from their music, artwork, photography, and videos personally. They believe they must declare war on all the senses, and only when the dust settles will the true nature of things reveal itself... Musically they draw their inspiration from a wide variety of artists including Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Elliott Smith, The Beatles, St. Vincent, Arcade Fire and more, but enough talk, visit the music pages and check them out, it's about time for Devil Say Dance to make SOME BEAUTIFUL NOISE...
