RAS KWAME came into the music industry as a club DJ playing hip hop, RnB and reggae in the early nineties. Ras soon progressed to promoting for Kiss FM's groundbreaking Starlight Club night and the Mean Fiddler's Subterranea club bringing over talent from the US and promoting local talent. The Subterranea gigs saw Ras take control of the turntables for artists such as Gang Starr, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clan, the London Posse and the Fugees.
During that time, Ras also undertook remix work for Chante Moore, George McCrae and the 49ers. Ras founded West London's Sugar Shack record shop in 1993 and from 1994-2000 he had formed Baby Shack Recordings and his UK Garage production outfit M-Dubs.
In 2004 Ras won "Best Radio DJ" at the Urban Music Awards, in the same year he started a new music show called 'Showtime with Ras Kwame' on Channel U. Ras remains an influential and active figure in the music industry, with an ever-increasing DJ/ hosting schedule on a national & international level, whilst hosting his own show on Capital Xtra 5 days a week…
EDWARD ADOO has many strings to his bow. A broadcaster, writer, music consultant and DJ, Ed is an ardent music lover with a vision that unites the dancefloor through eclectic sounds. Ed's love of electronic and black music led to him to become a DJ hosting club nights, playing at launch parties and brand launches for Blackberry, T-Mobile, Sky and Silverstone. In 2008 he fronted a prime-time Saturday night specialist show on NME Radio championing rising stars and new talent alongside established big name artists from Mylo and Danny Rampling to Simian Mobile Disco.
Ed has appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC News Channel and Sky News. He has featured as a music critic on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 1 Review Show, BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio Wales and discussed London issues on LBC Radio. He has also guest DJ'ed on BBC Radio 6 Music’s 6 Mix. Ed was part of Channel 4′s More 4 continuity launch team, has performed as a promo/character voice on MTV Base, voiced trails and idents for XFM, Kerrang, Kiss FM London.
