  • The Macbeth 70 Hoxton St London, N1 6LP United Kingdom (map)
Shh…What doesn't kill you makes you stranger Well, we've certainly found that to be true in any case. Following on from July's full house we've sure turned up trumps again with our two featured acts for our next show at The Macbeth: The Slytones - bringing the schizophrenic fairground all the way up from the south coast this twelve legged, clown-faced, hissing cauldron of ingenuity will be adding their very own brand of rock to the soup. Motown, psychedelia, gospel, jazz, afrobeat and more besides served with a healthy side of mischievous menace and theatricality, these guys are not to be messed with. James Black - folksinger and poet. Springing from the Romantic era and the ballad tradition of Scottish songs, his music also draws on American blues and country, rock n’ roll and hip hop. Uniquely combining innocence and experience, toughness of spirit with a gentleness of heart his music is a true inspiration.  And we'll be turning up two of the usual jokers in the pack: JB Newman & the Black Letter Band and Georges Kaplan Presents...to accompany you on your sonic adventures. There you have it. Four cards so high and wild you'll never need to deal another. And not only that: FREE ENTRY, yet more PRIZES, FACE PAINT…  JOIN US, for what promises to be a night to remember
